Strep throat and Wyoming

So we went to Wyoming last week to start the housing search...frustrating. It's hard to find something when there are only 51 homes on the market and you have to eliminate the top 10 and the bottom 15. We thought we found one that would not be perfect, but would work well until we either move from Wyoming or they open more land for building custom homes. The people living there are teachers so they would need to be out the same time we needed to be in. Long story short, it isn't going to work out because the people don't want to close as late as April...they think we will back out before then. Pretty sure we won't, but who knows, maybe it will work to our benefit and we'll find a better place to be. Of course while we there Jeff came down with strep throat the first night we were there. That made the hunt even more difficult because he felt so crummy. Of course our insurance only works in Utah so we had to wait until we got back Friday afternoon. Jeff has this phobia for going to the doctor so actually it worked out really well that we were in Wyoming when he got strep. While we were there, he had to get a drug test and physical for his job. Well, the doctor called the day after his test to tell him that his white blood count was way too high and that he was fighting an infection which was most likely strep. Of course I told him this long before the doctor called, but he at least believed the doctor and went in when we got back to Utah. Although his throat finally feels better he has a hard time sleeping because now he is coughing non-stop. Poor Jefferson. I can't wait until he is better!

aren't sick husbands so sad! They shut down completely when they are sick. Glad you like the blog...no trouble at all.

I love the name Jefferson! Thomas Jefferson is actually my favorite president. Anyways, sorry you didn't find a place. I agree though, something better will open up! :)

House hunting is the worst; so frustrating. Hang in there. Something great will open up. It's great that you have quite a bit of time to look, though, that should help. Good luck!

P.S. Agree! Sick husbands are the worst! I hope he gets/got better soon!

I think it's a sign that you're meant to stay and teach in Utah :)! This must just mean that something better is around the corner- maybe that house'll still be on the market and they'll have lowered the price because they can't sell it??

All I can say is good Luck! I know what the area and houses up there are like. But I also know something will come up and you will love it. Maybe that house you like will come down a little while you wait. Best of luck to you!

Tell Jeff to feel better! Don't worry about the house situation. You will find something! As mentioned before maybe waiting will pay off! If not the house across the street from me is for sale and we could find Jeff a different job just a little closer to ME! Love you Beth, hang in there! I wish I was there!
