easter sunday

  •  Easter was so fun!  My girls were up early and ready to look at their Easter baskets.  They weren't very patient in waiting for Ginny to wake up and ending up waking her up.  After baskets, we had breakfast and got ready for church.  My older brother arrived before church and we all went to the first hour.  Then we came home and had a delicious Easter dinner followed by an Easter egg hunt!  We played games and enjoyed visiting the rest of the night.  It was a pretty perfect day!  Having family here made Easter an even happier, more exciting, and fun holiday!  We were so grateful two of my brothers came and spent the holiday with our family!

more fun with ginny

On Saturday the girls had a great time helping prepare some of the food for Easter!  All four of them were so excited to help bake.  They especially loved making the resurrection rolls!
The girls seriously had the best time with Ginny.  Heidi wanted to do a craft so she found a bunny idea and put it all together.  They decorated the house with their cute creations.  Heidi loves to make crafts and Easter was the perfect time to create something fun!

Saturday night we took the girls to the lake.  They had such a fun time skipping rocks, "feeding the fish" (with rocks and sticks haha), and running around while singing together.  It was a great way to spend the evening!

first egg hunt

Saturday morning we were invited to hunt for eggs with some friends from church.  The girls were all so excited to go and had fun looking for eggs.  After the hunt we took my brother and sister in law to the Amish market we love!  It was a great day!

dying eggs

We had great time coloring Easter eggs!  It's always a fun activity.  Of course it was extra fun since we had company!  We managed to get the 18 eggs colored with minimal cracking and the eggs made great deviled eggs on Easter!

easter visitors

We were so lucky to have my brother, his wife, and little girl come again from Detroit for Easter!  The girls have the best time with Ginny!  I love, love, love watching the girls develop relationships with their cousins and Ginny is just the cutest!!  The girls have brought up how they miss Ginny every single day since she left.  We hope we get to see them again soon!

church easter activityt

Two weeks before Easter we had our primary Easter activity at church.  Since I serve in the primary, I was not only part of the planning, but I got to be there for the fun!  We had a great time!  The girls loved playing Easter games, making Easter crafts, learning the real reason we celebrate Easter, and of course hunting for eggs with their friends!  We had a great turn out and it was fun for all three of the girls!

mornings at the lake with my little girls

I love that we have a longer spring and fall here.  The weather has really been nice for a few months and I have taken so many pictures of the beauty we see on our walks!  It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly beautiful our area is.  Right now the world is unbelievably green.  The trees and flowers are in full bloom and we have been enjoying getting lots and lots of fresh air and sunshine.

Sometimes Savanna rides her bike, but she really enjoys running alongside Caimbree.  They have the cutest little friendship.  Savanna is so easy to get along with and they both love to make each other giggle.  I love spending mornings watching them blow "wish berries", throw pine cones in the lake, and race each other as they point out the ducks and turtles along the way.  It really is the perfect way to start the day!

april photos

I have quite a few pictures in my phone that don't necessarily fit anywhere.  During the priesthood session of conference a few of my friends and I got together for a picnic dinner and play date at the park.  I am grateful for the good friends I have met here.  The girls enjoy any opportunity to play with their friends.  My friend Liz brought some bubbles thinking the little ones would like it, but every kid went crazy over them.  It was so funny to watch!
One day I found this little note on the counter and it made me laugh.  I love that Heidi knows how to spell everyone's name in the family.  Apparently Care Bear has also joined our family, or maybe Care Bear is her new name since she left herself off the list haha.
Heidi is my little fashionista.  She loves putting outfits together and is always thinking of ways to create a new look.  She loves new clothes (whether they are new from the store or handed down to her).  She has also been very into learning to do her own hair and is getting pretty good at it!  One day she came and showed me the bun she did and it looked great!  She is growing way, way too fast.

april fools

Heidi was so funny on April Fools this year.  She must have been plotting in her mind for awhile because she was the one who brought it up on March 31 and she had prepped her joke all on her own.  She brought home an Oreo cookie from school and took out the cream and replaced it with toothpaste.  She is so funny.  Oh how she laughed talking about it and then giving it to Jeff.  She thinks playing pranks is so funny...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree I suppose haha.  It was a funny little joke, but the funniest part was definitely watching the girls laugh their heads off when Jeff tasted the cookie!

landscaping

I am so behind and I really need to get caught up.  I need more hours in the day.  The weather has been mostly delightful for a few months and we decided we better get started working on the yard.  It will take a few years of seed and small section to get the grass where we are happy, but I am happy we got the garden planted and the front flower beds done.

The girls really enjoyed helping out and have enjoyed taking care of the watering.  Heidi was definitely the most excited to help with each step and she is such a great helper!!  She is so fun to work with.  We planted some trees and are looking forward to planting a few more before spring ends.

The girls each have a flower pot on the porch that they planted and picked the flowers for.  They have done such a good job taking care of them and they look so pretty on the porch!  It has been so nice to see everything growing so well.
