one

I cannot imagine how we ever lived without this sweet little one year old.  She sure brings a lot of happiness and laughter into our home.  I still can't believe Caimbree is one already.  Where the heck did the last year go?

One year stats:

27 inches--below 5%
16 lbs. 12 oz.--below 5%

Her cheeks make her look a little chubbier than she is ha ha.

*Has 7 teeth, 4 on top, 3 on bottom
*Absolutely loves to feel like she is part of everything.  She is at her happiest if she thinks Heidi and Savanna are including her in their fun.
*Whenever she does something super cute (like bounce her little body around when the girls are dancing) and we look at her and give her a bunch of attention for it, she gets really shy and gives this cute little grin and then hides her face.
*Loves when Jeff gets home from work
*Pulls herself up on everything.  Her favorite thing is to pull herself up on anyone and everyone.
*Hasn't attempted walking.
*When we hold her hands and try to get her to walk she lifts her feet up really high.
*I often catch her sitting in Heidi and Savanna's closet trying on their shoes.
*Loves her blanket and every other blanket.  If she thinks you are taking her blanket away she lets you know how mad she is.
*Loves sweet things, watermelon, pasta, applesauce, and
yogurt.
*Loves to be outside.  She likes pointing at the birds, rabbits, and squirrels on our morning walks.
*Stating to get more hair, but it is so blonde it's hard to see how much is actually there.
*If she finds any clothes laying on the floor she tries to put them on.
*Babbles quite a bit but we mostly still hear dada, mama, baba, rara...we have gotten her to say 'hi' but not consistently.
*Still has her bright blue eyes
*Most people comment on her cheeks and eyes
*Waves.  She especially likes to stand at the door when Jeff is mowing the lawn and wave at him every time he passes by.
*If the girls go outside, or really anywhere, without her, she gets really upset.
*We all enjoy making her giggle because she has the cutest little laugh.
*Has a very loud voice!
*Likes to color when the girls do
*Loves putting things in and out of places like boxes or bags
*Enjoys being out and about
*Has been fighting her morning nap, but still needs it so she usually falls asleep in my arms for a few minutes or in the car in the morning, takes an afternoon nap around 12:30, and goes to bed between 7 and 8.  She sleeps until about 6 but she has been known to wake up once in the night or around 5.  She was doing so well, but now that she is working on multiple teeth, it's always a mystery what she's going to do.
*She is pretty easy to spoil
*Kicks her legs like crazy when she's excited
*Loves to be read to and will sit  in front of a pile books for a long time looking at pages.
*Loves to splash in the water.  Absolutely loved it when I took them to the city pool.
*Nicknames include Maimbree, Maim (these come from Savanna trying to saying Caimbree), Caimb, Caimba Raimba Chaimba Baby, Rae,  Caimbers, Rae Rae
*Gets so excited to see her sisters in the morning and after naps

Caimbree is so incredibly popular around our house.  The girls love her as much as she loves them.  They fight over who gets to hold her and Caimbree is sure to cheer either of them up if they are sad.  Savanna can't walk past her without stopping to give her a kiss.  She is so easy to love.

We love you, Caimbree!!!!  You bring so much joy
Please slow this growing up thing down a little.

party time

Today we celebrated Caimbree turning one!  We had such a fun time.  We were especially happy to have my brother come down.  My girls are in heaven every time they get to see their cousins and we love being close enough to have family around for big events.
These pictures are a little out of order, but Caimbree loved her presents.  She cracks me up because I don't have many pictures of her ever showing her happiness, which is so funny because she is always happy!
She was spoiled with some fun new toys, which is great because the majority of the toys are in "random" boxes in the garage.
I made her a cupcake "1" cake.  It turned out pretty cute considering my cake making skills and everyone seemed to love the way they tasted.

Caimbree wasn't sure what to do with the fire and tried to grabbed it, but Heidi quickly helped her blow it out.
The cupcakes were tasty and Savanna was so funny
when she was done she looked at me with her bright eyes and said, "Zanny eat WHOLE thing!"  Heidi wanted to eat more than 1 and was quite upset when she was only allowed one.
 Huey and Eric
I couldn't pick my favorite picture of Caimbree eating her cupcake.  It was fun to watch. She was pretty thrilled with it.

She made quite a mess and was pretty thrilled with herself.  She mostly liked the frosting and white chocolate chips.  She ate some of the cake, but threw most of it on the ground ha ha.

I love this picture of all the kids surrounding Caimbree helping her open her gifts.  They all get along so well and were so sweet trying to show Caimbree how to use her new toys.  It was such a fun afternoon/evening.

We loved celebrating our precious little girl.  We love having her in our family.  Happy 1st Birthday, Caimbree!  We love you, we love you, we love you!!!

hooray for dads

 Happy Father's Day to all
the amazing men in my life!
My girls are lucky to be surrounded
by such strong men!

Our favorite time of day is when
daddy walks in the door after work.
We appreciate how hard he works
for all of us and the girls
love how hard he plays
with them!
Happy Father's Day!

one

One year ago this little angel entered the world.  I can't think of a better word to describe Caimbree...she really is an angel.  We are so in love with her sweet, happy, easy going personality.

Caimbree loves to feel like she is part of the action.  She loves getting attention and she loves to see if she can make us laugh.  She is so patient.  I cannot even begin to imagine how we ever got along without her.

We love you Caimbree Rae and can't wait to celebrate YOU!

Happy Birthday, Angel Baby.

my girls

This morning on our walk Heidi convinced Savanna to push her up the hills.  It made me laugh.  Savanna is such a sweet sister and is often doing whatever Heidi tells her to do.  She really does have the sweetest most forgiving heart.
When we got back, Heidi decided she was going to give Savanna swimming lessons, which is funny because she has never had them herself.  This was her swimming outfit...I have no explanation and neither did she, but it was pretty adorable nonetheless.
In other news, Savanna is completely potty trained...knock on wood!  I was actually preparing myself for the worst and trying to get all the information I could on what to do if she decided to be stubborn about it.  I wasn't even even planning on really pushing it until July when it got really hot and we were trapped home anyway.  But one day she decided she didn't want to wear a diaper and the rest is history.  She has been diaper free day and night for 5 days now!  She hasn't had one accident and it was even easier than Heidi, which doesn't seem possible.  I just can't believe how big and grown up she seems lately.  They grow so fast.  I'm so glad I get to be their mom.

hermitage

We took the girls to Andrew Jackson's house in Nashville today (The Hermitage).  We loved it and learned so much on our trip a few years ago so we were excited to go again.
The girls seemed to like it especially since they got their own listening device and got to punch in numbers at each learning station.  Love Savanna's curly little hair.
Caimbree did well, but it was pretty hot today.  We didn't stay as long as we normally would have because we were all roasting.  The inside of the mansion is so fascinating.  They don't allow pictures inside.  Heidi especially thought it was cool and was interested in a lot of facts she learned.
Savanna carried her little listening thing the whole time...sometimes in her hand, sometimes around her next, and sometimes with the string in her mouth.  What a funny little personality she has.
Heidi at one of the slave huts.  It was the first time we have ever really talked about slavery and it was kind of difficult to explain!  I'm not sure Heidi really understand what slaves were or why there was slavery, but she thought the huts were kind of cool.  We went to lunch and cooled off an then headed home for naps.  Have I mentioned how much we love Nashville?  Well, it is a pretty awesome city and we feel blessed to live so close.
