Halloween at the Pony

So as everyone knows, today is Halloween. Wow. I have got one big headache! I have to say though, I love Halloween even though it is a crazy day and the kids are completely out of control. I love seeing how excited the kids are over the silliest little things and my favorite comment is always, "I couldn't even sleep last night I was so excited!" Oh to be seven again! My kids this year are sooo darling and my room moms had a great party. I am so lucky because I have cute Bea Twede this year and at one of the stations she had the kids put their names on a cute Thanksgiving apron. I love things that help me remember the kids. I don't know how I got so lucky this year with moms and students! This year I dressed up as Gooney Bird Greene from the book "Gooney Bird Greene". No one knew who I was except the second graders, but that's all that counts right??

I loved Halloween at school! I miss teaching the most around the Holidays! I love doing all the fun projects with the kids! I guess I will have to start pulling out Holiday fun stuff for Kenedy so I can get my teaching fix! I can't wait to see you guys on Saturday! YEAH!

Such a cute class. You are so lucky to have Bea Twede as your room mother. She is the best!!! I am so glad that I got to see you yesterday. I can't believe how many teachers I don't know and I have only been gone about 6 months. Crazy!

Halloween is crazy! I hate chaos and I avoid it at all cost, but on Halloween it's totally unavoidable. I can't stand it.

Halloween at school is one of those love/hate relationships for me. I love the fun stuff that we get to do with the kids, hate the chaos and craziness. Plus it feels like you (and the kids) have jet lag the next day! But your class is too cute, and Bea is wonderful- you'll get spoiled for sure!

I know that your head hurts but I am jealous I could only come for the party and then I could not do anything. I kinda make Halloween o fun. I am glad you have a great class. It make it all the more fun.

You know I think that since we are the only two left from our O.G. team maybe you should come and teach with me next year! When you are considering this option please try very hard to forget my last post!

I totally understand the headache comment! Halloween is my most dreaded day of the year to be honest. I know part pooper. I just don't like Halloween period. Maybe I need to hang out with the seven year olds to get in the spirit again.

Our school didn't have anything for Halloween. No dressing up, no candy, no parties. It was pretty weird. For as hard as Halloween could be at Pony, it was much better then not having any festivities at all. The kids were just as wound up without all the festivities and the next two days were just as bad as normal. It really was a let down. Not to mention I got a call from the secretary because the cutest little girl in my class wore black and orange tights and an orange headband with her uniform, which might I add is normal for her, she always wears cute, brightly colored stripped socks with matching head bands. Not knowing if these things were uniform appropriate at the first of the year, I asked the girls to only wear the appropriate color: black, navy or white, head bands. This came back to bite me when a parent called the principal to clarify this uniform question. The principal told me colored head bands and socks were all right and a way of expressing themselves. The secretary calls me Halloween to tell me my darling little girl with the tights was in dress code violation on Halloween and her mom was ticked because my little darling's sister was sent to the office and forced to change on Halloween because of the loud Halloween colors. The parent says, "Well, Mrs. Clifford doesn't have a problem with it!!" So, am I right or wrong? I tell you this school is driving me nuts lately. I had a bad day and had to vent!! Sorry! I love PONY EXPRESS
