savanna at three

Oh my goodness do we love our funny little three year old.  Savanna has always had the most hilarious personality.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up.  It seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and trying to figure out how in the world to get her to sleep more than two hours at a time at night!

*Savanna calls herself "Zanny" although if you ask her what her whole name is she will say, "Savanna Rie Hunger".
*Her nicknames include Zanny, Zanny Zoo, Zanneth, Zanzibar, Savanna Banana
*Savanna is adored by Caimbree.  Caimbree seems to know she is the one to tease and giggle with and is always watching Savanna.
*Savanna has a heart of gold.  She is the first one to notice if someone is sad and try to make them feel better.  She is very observant of emotions.  She is also the first one to ask Caimbree if she's okay if she fell or is sad and does whatever she can to make her feel better.
*Savanna has a lot of energy.  She is always moving and bouncing around.  She has a hard time sitting still for very long.
*Goes to bed around 8 and wakes up around 6.  Takes a 2-2.5 hour nap around 12:30/1.
*When Savanna is tired, she makes life kind of crazy.  She doesn't handle being tired very well.
*Loves, loves, loves the trampoline.  She especially likes to run around the trampoline.
*I cannot believe how fast she runs!  It is hilarious to watch her little legs zipping along.
*Always up for an adventure,
*Cracks us up with the funny things she says.  For example, we were at the lake and she says, "I toot at lake!  Not wet toot. Normal toot" and has a huge grin while she is saying it.
*Gets so much joy out of the smallest, simplest things in life.  She has the biggest grin and her eyes just twinkle.  It's hard not to enjoy life with her around.
*I consider her to be a free spirit.
*So incredibly forgiving.  Nothing seems to bother her for very long.
*Doesn't like vegetables at all but eats salad like a champ.  Go figure!
*Savanna is a really good eater but likes to turn up her nose and say, "Ewww" before almost every meal...just to get a rise out of us I think.
*Can be very impulsive.
*Loves to play at the park.
*Carries her bunny "Princess Bob" everywhere she goes.
*Savanna is very, very independent.  It makes life easier and more difficult at the same time but I absolutely love that she has a desire to do it all herself.  She has been dressing herself for a long time and basically potty trained herself.
*If you tell her to do something, she will make sure to do the exact opposite.
*Starting to talk a lot better, but we understand her a lot more than others do.
*She gets so many comments about her curly hair.  It fits her personality so well.  I can't imagine her without it.
*Very, very left handed.
*Strangers never get to see the real Savanna.  She is usually kind of shy and acts grumpy around people she doesn't know very well, which is a shame, because she has the cutest personality.
*Oftentimes in the day out of nowhere she will say, "Love you too, mom."  Melts my heart every time.
*Requests oatmeal for breakfast almost every single morning.
*Can count to 10 and knows quite a few of her letters.  It's hard to know exactly how many because she likes to tease and say the wrong letter just to get a rise out of you.
*Savanna is always trying to make people laugh.  If she can get a laugh, she will do it over and over again.

Savanna is such a fun, spunky little girl.
I love how full of life she is.  Her smile and excitement
for simple things make us all enjoy
life a little more.  She is an excellent big and little
sister.  I cannot even begin to imagine life without
this fun, bouncy little bean.

We love you so much, Savanna Marie!
You are such a joy and keep us laughing daily.
Thank you for choosing us.
We love you, we love you, we love you!!!
