the hunt

 This morning was the Easter egg hunt at Fort Bridger.  The girls were so very excited to go.  Savanna is in fact smiling here!

 I even got a picture of Caimbree with a smile!  Seriously, this girl and her faces in pictures crack me up.

 We got there plenty early so we wouldn't miss all the fun and to make sure we got a parking spot.

 The weather was a little chilly, but not too bad.  The girls had a blast climbing on the logs and rocks while they waited for the hunt to begin.

 There was a different area for Savanna and Heidi to find their eggs. They were not happy about this.  They decided they would just stick together in the 3-4 year old section.  They held hands almost the entire morning.  Melts my heart.

 Two of the girls were willing to pose with Jeff.  A certain 2 year old was not interested in joining the picture.

The funny thing was that they were dying to get in and get the eggs.  As soon as the fire truck honked the horn that it was time to get going, both of them fell apart (Heidi bumped her pinky on a tree and Savanna got a splinter on the fence).  They finally decided they should go get eggs after about 5 minutes of tears and by then most of the eggs were gone.  Savanna ended up with 2 and Heidi got about 7.  They were both happily talking about it and "all their eggs" afterwards so I guess it was a success in spite of he drama as the hunt started!  We will miss the Fort Bridger egg hunt next year!
