We had a fun Halloween this year! Grandpa and Grandma came up Friday morning. We had a ward trunk or treat and dinner that evening. In spite of Heidi getting sick Thursday, she was still excited. She was going to be a witch, but the costume was too itchy. Then she was going to be Belle, but the costume was too itchy. Finally, she decided she could tolerate being a cowgirl. Savanna was an owl, but since she refused to wear the hood, she was often confused fora turkey. Caimbree was the cutest little cat.
Sisters right before the trunk or treat. Jeff made a delicious dutch oven chili to contribute to the dinner. We absolutely love our ward and we have always felt so happy that our house is in this ward. Definitely our favorite ward.
Thursday I took the girls to the library party. Heidi tolerated her witch costume for that short amount of time.
After the trunk or treat, the girls did a little trick or treating. It was so much warmer than last year and for that we were all grateful! It was a fun day and the girls were so happy and excited about everything. We are hoping Heidi starts feeling better soon and we are glad the worst of it didn't hit until after all of the festivities. If her nose stops running anytime in the near future, we will all be grateful! She does not handle sickness well and we are definitely hoping no one else gets it, especially little Caimbree. Now that Halloween is over, we can't wait to celebrate a certain special little girl in our family who is about to turn two!
