space center

Our last trip of the summer was to Huntsville, Alabama to check out the Space Center.  It was a great trip!  They had a lot of cool things to do and see and we learned a ton.  The hardest part was just knowing summer really was over and that this was it.  We love having time with the girls and we love exploring new places. We love checking out new states and we love that we can get to states more easily out here.  We really liked Alabama!  We hope to go back again and what we really wish, is that we could rewind summer and do it all over again.  We had so many fun adventures and we made so many wonderful memories.  These girls really are a joy to explore with.  They have their moments, but honestly, they are such.good.kids.  We love them and their hearts and their curiosity, and their desire to learn.  We have been blessed beyond measure and we are trying not to take a single second for granted.

sisters

I love these beautiful so much.  I love that they love to play together.  They had quite a few summer games and while some of it involves squabbles, there is always plenty of laughter and I hope I can always hear their little giggles.  One day they were all in random Halloween costumes and I overheard Heidi saying, "Come on girls, let's go get on our motorcycles" at which point they headed out to their bikes.  Oh goodness.  That gave me such a chuckle.  We went hiking a few times in the summer as well.  We love having Montgomery Bell close so we can easily take a quick hike early in the mornings, especially on the weekends!

before school physicals

I always take the girls in for physicals before the start of school.  Heidi mostly complains about the paper gowns, but hey, she put it on this year and that's a first. They were all troopers and checked out happy and healthy!  Caimbree even ended up getting her kindergarten shots and she didn't even make a squeak.  I was shocked!  We have the best pediatrician and I am so grateful for her care of our most precious gifts!

holiday world=summer happiness

We try to hit Holiday World at least once in the summer because it's about 3 hours away and about an eighth of price of Disney.  The water park makes the summer heat more enjoyable, and it makes for a pretty fun and awesome day.  This year we made it twice!  Once on our own and once with the Spann family.  We had a blast both times.  I love this phase with my girls so much.  They are such troopers and so fun to travel with and they love adventures.  I love them so much and I am so grateful we have been able to have so many fun adventures together!

playing catchup

Oh mercy.  I am so behind.  And as I looked back, I realized a whole heap of pictures from summer that I somehow overlooked.  Here are a few from the bowling alley.  I am pretty sure it is from a day with big thunderstorms.  We had planned to meet friends at the pool, but ended up at the bowling alley!  They didn't have money for arcade games, but they sure had a blast pretending they did!  The bowling alley does a free summer bowling program and unfortunately we never use it as much as we should, but we always a blast when we do!
