easter and april fools

We were so excited conference was on Easter this year because it made getting together with my brother a lot easier.  The girls couldn't wait to see their cousins and have another Easter egg hunt.

They were also excited because Easter was also April Fools day and that made them so excited because they wanted to play tricks on their cousins.  Besides filling some chocolate egg wrappers with grapes, they also made brussel sprout cake pops.  Oh my goodness were they excited about these. The best part was they were so easily fooled and shocked their was a vegetable in their dessert.  We laughed ad laughed and I got a great video of the event.  It was such a fun day and an Easter I don't think we will forget!

easter morning

Caimbree couldn't wait to go to bed Saturday night because she couldn't wait to see if the Easter bunny filled her basket.  All three of the girls seemed pretty pleased when they woke up.  They were especially thrilled to see LOL dolls.  They have friends with LOL dolls and have become really interested in them, but they are expensive and hard to find so they were thrilled the Easter bunny brought them one!  It was a fun morning checking out baskets and nibbling on treats before heading to Uncle Eric's for the afternoon!

dying eggs

The girls were excited to dye their Easter eggs!  I love that you can see each of their personalities in these pictures.  They did a great job and had fun coming up with their designs.  Heidi's favorite was an American flag one, Caimbree liked sticking stickers on hers and thought her colorful hand when she stuck her entire hand in to retrieve her egg was hilarious, and Savanna said she liked making pink and yellow eggs because those are her favorite colors.  It was a fun afternoon!

savanna's school party

Savanna loves school, but she mostly loves being with her friends.  She is such a happy little thing with some much excitement for life.  She was so excited to do an Easter egg hunt with her friends.  They also did an egg drop.  She put her egg in a roll of toilet paper and thought it was hilarious....it also worked and her egg remained unbroken!  It was a fun day for our fun 5 year old!  I love that I am able to be home so I don't miss these fun little days in their lives.

spring soccer

The girls begged to do spring soccer and Jeff is always excited when they want to play because it's great exercise and a chance for him to spend time with them as their coach.  I can't believe how well they are playing!  Heidi is the best little goalie...although I cringe when she is in that position haha.  She took a ball to the eye in her first game (not even as goalie) and ended up with a black eye...more like a black eyelid.  She looked like she had eye liner and I think she actually thought it was awesome, although it hurt really bad when it first happened.  I don't love having Saturdays tied up again, but I sure love watching these girls improve and enjoy themselves on the field!  Caimbree got to practice one time when I had to fill in as coach for Savanna's team and she did so well so it looks like she will be starting next fall.

zoo day

Over spring break we also went to the zoo with my friend, Kristen, and her little boy, Travis.  It was so fun!  We went on Friday because it was the only day it wasn't raining.  A lot of people had the same idea, but it was fun anyway in spite of the crowds.  We really love the Nashville zoo and especially being able to pet some of the animals!  They also finally got the Andean bear so that was fun to see.  It's always fun to go to the zoo--especially with great friends!

savanna's little notes

Savanna has become so interested in expressing herself with writing and it makes me so happy!  She has been showing so much interest in letter sounds and how to spells words.  I can't believe she will be in kindergarten next year...which will be her before we know it.  I am going to miss having my happy little helper home all day.  She is seriously the best helper and always willing to do whatever is needed.  I keep finding little notes on my nightstand and on everyone's pillow and it melts my heart.  She loves to make everyone happy.  We love our sweet little Savanna so much and I don't ever want to forget her sweet little pictures and handwriting.  We are so unbelievably blessed to have this remarkable little ball of energy in our home.
