time for vacation

 We love summer and we try really hard to travel a little and explore new places.  This year we found some amazing airline tickets to Boston and we had some airline points and decided that would be our big summer trip!  Michael and Gabby moved to New Hampshire in January so we figured this would be the perfect time to visit them.  Caimbree was so excited that we were going to go on an airplane on her birthday.  My mom sent the girls little dresses that Heidi got to finish sewing and they were excited to wear those on the plane.  It's so fun to travel with the girls because they are just so over the top excited over everything.  Savanna gets SO excited.  As soon as we got close to the airport and she saw planes in the sky, she could not control her excitement, it was so cute!  We are so grateful we are able to let them experience different places and we cherish the memories we make with the girls on these trips!

 Jeff built me a beautiful entryway table!  He built it and stained the top, I did the painting.  I love it!  So grateful for a handy hubby!

a little celebration

 Caimbree didn't get her party on the day we planned, but we did a little family celebration because we wanted her to be able to open her presents and blow out candles.  She was so excited about an LOL doll and some dollhouse furniture.  She can't wait for Jeff to finish the dollhouse he is building, but for now she is keeping busy playing with the dolls and furniture non stop!  She wasn't 100% better, but we were happy we got to sing to her and watch her joy opening presents.  Birthdays are the best!

Happy 4th Birthday to our precious little Caimbree Rae!  I really cannot believe we are already at 4. 












Caimbree, you have been a gem since day number one.  You are calm, you are smart, you are observant, you are so incredibly loving.  You have the best giggle ever and everyone adores you.  You are so incredibly special and we love you more than words can express!

sick birthday girl

 We had a birthday party planned for Caimbree with a big slip n slide and other fun water activities since it has been so hot!  We had cupcakes made and food ready and she was so excited.  Then she woke up the morning of her party with a 102 fever.  She is the absolute sweetest sick patient. She was too sick to be upset about her party.  I rushed her to urgent care as soon as they opened.  They gave her antibiotic for strep and she spent another 48 hours absolutely miserable, but with hardly a complaint. She just wanted to be held and snuggle.  She would call me in the middle of the night and would just hold my hand and thank me for sleeping with her.  I love this sweet angel so very much and seeing her so sick was hard...especially when we had to cancel her birthday party.  No one should be sick for their birthday!

summer haircuts

 We let the girls hair grow long for the dance recital and they wanted to get summer cuts once it was over!  They looked so pretty with their long hair and I loved being able to do lots of fun hair dos.  But their long, thick hair was so hot and it's such a pain to brush through every day.  So we chopped it all off and they all three look adorable!

cma music fest

 My friend Jordyn ended up with some tickets to CMA music fest.  I have always wanted to go but it's expensive and late at night.  She thought it would be a good idea for us to go one night so the men could watch the kids and we wouldn't have to worry about babysitters.  We had a blast! We got home late, late...around 2 am, but oh what a memorable and fun night it was!  I'm so grateful for the amazing friendships I have made here!

 My friend, Jordyn, takes amazing pictures.  Her son is getting baptized the same day as Heidi so we decided to take them out and get some pictures.  We went to Montgomery Bell and I couldn't be more happy about the pictures!  Heidi looks so beautiful and I just can't get over that she is already 8.  Why does this whole growing up thing have to go so quickly?  This gorgeous thing is so excited for her baptism and is so ready.  She remembers everything she learns at church and at home and is the first one to remind us to read scriptures and pray.  She is such a good, good person and I'm so excited for her special day!
