Maybe Texas has the right idea!!

So while we were in Texas I was absolutely hating the 110 degree days that felt like 120. I hated the humidity, I hated the bugs, and I hated how it never, never cooled down. Now that we are facing the third big storm in a week, I am thinking Texas sounds pretty good right now! I was looking up the weather on Yahoo and it was still logged in for Corpus Christi from this last summer. It pulled up the weather and said 63 degrees. I was pretty confused for a split second. I know many have posted about the awful weather, but I felt I would add to the sentiments. I have never been one to hate winter and I love the first snow and how it makes everything look clean and white. I don't love the slow commute we usually have a few times a year, but it's not the end of the world. But this year!!! I feel like everyday I have to get up extra early to check the roads and make sure I head out early enough to make it to work on time. This morning it took me an hour and fifteen minutes to get to work! I always worry about Jeff heading to Salt Lake everyday too. Will this winter ever end??? I am beginning to think no. On the news this morning they said to plan on seeing snow through May. Really? Really???? I'm not sure I can make it like this until May...especially if we have anymore inside recesses. Is Jeff sure he wants to move to Wyoming? I think I am going to have to invest in some good pairs of long johns!

Busy Saturday...

Can I just say I am grateful for a warm, sunny Saturday? I seriously cannot wait until spring. I usually don't mind that much, but this winter has been awful! Today we woke up early because our neighbors were stomping around at 5:30. Yay. We tried to sleep a little longer and then gave up. Jeff's friend passed away two weeks ago and his funeral was today. We went to his funeral in AF. It was such a beautiful service and I couldn't help but notice how different it was from my grandpa's non-lds funeral. So many people loved Jeff's friend and we are so sad he is no longer with us. I am so grateful for the atonement and for the promise that we can all see one another again. It has been really hard for Jeff because this is his second high school buddy to pass away in the last year. Over the summer one of his other cross country pals was killed in Iraq. Anyway, so we came home, attempted to wash the car, and clean the house. I am pooped and ready for a nap!! I know that as I soon as I lay down our neighbors will either start a movie or blast some music. We really just attract loud neighbors!

Jeff's Birthday

So I saw Heidi Bird's cute ideas for Valentine's Day and how she was looking for ideas. Well, Jeff's birthday is coming on the 6th and I have no idea what to do for him. As usual, parent-teacher conferences are on his birthday so I won't be home until late. I really want to do something special but I don't have any ideas. If anyone has ever done anything great, please share your ideas!!!

Tagged!

I am pretty sure I have been tagged multiple times but I have never done one. I will do this just for my good friend Megan! She's the best!

MY HUSBAND....

What is his name?
Jeffrey Bruno Hunziker (Jefferson when I feel like)

How long have you been together?
Married for 3 1/2 years

How long did you date?
We dated for about 4 months before getting engaged, then we were engaged for 3 months.

How old is he?
He turns 26 on the Feb. 6 (He'll finally catch up with me!)

Who eats more?
Jeff, that's why he has high cholesterol--which I still think is absolutely hilarious.

Who said I love you first?
Jeffrey

Who is taller?
Jeff, but then again, who isn't taller?

Who can sing better?
Neither one of us can sing but if I had to choose, I'm going to have to go with Jefferson. I am a TERRIBLE singer!! But he does love it when I sing really dramatically in church to show my distaste for those stupid sunshine songs trying to force you to be happy.

Who is smarter?
Jeffrey is definitely smarter all around in every way. I hope our kids get his genes! We can have a bunch of little chemical engineers running around with science kits. It's gonna be great.

Who does the laundry?
Mostly me but only because Jeff doesn't want to mess up any of my clothes. I think I should be fired from my job though because I keep washing things in his pants I shouldn't. Like last Saturday I washed his flash drive--I swear I checked the pockets. He has so many things in his millions of hidden pockets. I'm lucky I haven't found a pet frog.

Who pays the bills?
We both do, but Jeff usually does it.

Who sleeps in the right side?
Looking at the bed, Jeff.

Who mows the lawn?
Jefferson

Who cooks dinner?
Mostly me, but Jeff is a way better cook and I think he should cook every night. Especially his dutch oven. Mmmm mmm karate chop!

Who drives?
Jeff. He says I drive like a doof (well, he says, "you only drive like a doof at night because you can't see."--I guess he's right.)

Who is more stubborn?
Me.

Who kissed who first?
Jeff kissed me first and I was very excited.

Who asked who out first?
Well, Jeff did, but his dad told him to.

Who proposed?
Jefferson.

Who has more friends?
Probably me, but it might be pretty equal.

Who is more sensitive?
For sure me.

Who has more siblings?
Me. Jeff has 2 sisters. I have 3 brothers and 1 little darling, spoiled sister.

Who wears the pants?
Jeff

I tag Linsey, Jessie, Karen, or whoever wants to be tagged.

Strep throat and Wyoming

So we went to Wyoming last week to start the housing search...frustrating. It's hard to find something when there are only 51 homes on the market and you have to eliminate the top 10 and the bottom 15. We thought we found one that would not be perfect, but would work well until we either move from Wyoming or they open more land for building custom homes. The people living there are teachers so they would need to be out the same time we needed to be in. Long story short, it isn't going to work out because the people don't want to close as late as April...they think we will back out before then. Pretty sure we won't, but who knows, maybe it will work to our benefit and we'll find a better place to be. Of course while we there Jeff came down with strep throat the first night we were there. That made the hunt even more difficult because he felt so crummy. Of course our insurance only works in Utah so we had to wait until we got back Friday afternoon. Jeff has this phobia for going to the doctor so actually it worked out really well that we were in Wyoming when he got strep. While we were there, he had to get a drug test and physical for his job. Well, the doctor called the day after his test to tell him that his white blood count was way too high and that he was fighting an infection which was most likely strep. Of course I told him this long before the doctor called, but he at least believed the doctor and went in when we got back to Utah. Although his throat finally feels better he has a hard time sleeping because now he is coughing non-stop. Poor Jefferson. I can't wait until he is better!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2008. I remember being a kid and my parents always acting like time was going so quickly but to me, it seemed to go so slowly. Now I feel like time just flies by. I guess I'm getting old. Last night Jeff and I went to Jeff's friend's house for a New Year's Eve party. We had a great time but we did realize staying up until midnight gets harder every year! I made Jeff take this picture with me before we left so we don't forget what we looked like in 2007. I'm going to make a new tradition to take a picture on Dec. 31 every year so I can compare the pictures year to year. Let me tell you, Jeff is just thrilled about my idea...haha!
